Day 1 - Betta Care Awareness

Today was the official start of my goal to bring Betta Care awareness to my Local stores.
I started out today with a store that I know would listen.
Due to legal reasons I can't mention names but needless to say it worked!
They had there Bettas kept in small cups which as we all know is not good for them but this wasn't the stores fault.
When I looked into the situation it turns out the places they buy there Bettas from have told them to keep them in the cups til they sell!

Anyway I showed the people who worked at the store the many pages I had printed on Betta Care aswell as posts on the forum with advice on how to care for our Betta friends.

And to my shock the guy who owned the store was very moved by alot of the forum posts aswell as the time I had taken to find and present all this infomation.

After a long talk and a close look into how the Bettas are kept the guy agreed to take them from the cups and supply them with 1G holding tanks!

Ok so not a huge step forward but going from a cup the size of a can of pop to a 1G tank that has to be somthing right?.....

One other thing I did get him to agree to is to feed the Bettas some bloodworm once every 2 weeks!

He was more then happy to go along with this because they get too much sent to them and it doesn't sell that well so instead of it going to waste he will feed them to the Bettas!

Well feeling please about today I feel it's a good first step.

Thanks for reading and please keep checking for regular updates!
